June 26, 2010: Lunar Eclipse

There's something great about summer. Since there's no school the next day (even though I still have work), you can take the kids out at 4:30 in the morning to watch a partial lunar eclipse.

Even Snowflake came out for the party.

We started on the ground, but after about 45 minutes and the setting of the moon, we moved up to the roof. And then, after we couldn't see anymore, we got down and took off to the junior high track where we could see it until it went below the horizon.

I don't know if the kids will remember this. In fact, I'm sure they won't. But I always will.
