April 23, 2010: Kuester Home Reveal!

The big day had come! After 10 days of construction, it was time for the Kuester family to return to their brand new home!

But since I had been involved since the beginning, I was given another tour so we could take pictures for Westmore. This is the youngest girls' room.

This is a play table that was painted by one of Griffin's former resource teachers, Candice.

It is located inside the boys' room.

These are the older girls' rooms.

And now for the downstairs. Here is the dining area.

And the formal living room.

This is the master bedroom.

And the family room and kitchen.

I was fortunate to have worked with one of my former YCLs, Jessica Graff, and have her salon donate two $100 gift certificates to the sisters who stayed behind and did a lot of the work on both houses that were worked on (not just the one that burned down, but the home of their parents that is next door and needed some repair).

And then it was time for the family to return. They drove them up--blindfolded--on the fire engine that responded to the call.

And here is Erick seeing the house for the first time.

It was a great project to be involved in--even just the little that I was. Welcome home, Kuesters!
