Oops, Missed a Day. April 19, 2010: Sixth Grade Service Project

On December 17 of last year, I posted about the work I did with the Kuester family relief effort for Christmas and just general recovery from the loss not only of a daughter in October, but from the fire that destroyed their home a couple of months later.

For the sixth grade service project, we worked with the company that was rebuilding their home--free of charge--Greg Adamson and Heart 2 Home. They were allowing us to come and bring lunch to them, as well as tour the house. They rebuilt this home in 10 days and the Kuesters hadn't even been allowed to see what we got to see ahead of time. Greg was kind enough to take all the kids through the home so they could see what their classmate, Erick, was going to have when he came back.

Ellie went early with me so we could set up. She also took the pictures as we walked through. We would return just a few days later to see the finished project!
