January 2010 Family Pictures

As I mentioned in an earlier post, our family gathered to take our last pictures before Ian left for Argentina. Below you will find the results, courtesy of my nephew, Ben Roden, who took time out of his Saturday to help us bring our silly notions to fruition.

James Tiberius Kirk vs. James Howlett Logan/Wolverine

As John and I got to the movie theater yesterday afternoon, we found no one there. Accordingly, we decided to see Star Trek instead of Wolverine. I have to say that I enjoyed it, but found a few bits frustrating. I won't share for those who haven't seen it. I was impressed with the special effects of Trek. You know how George Lucas movies are so obviously computerized? It bugs me. But this was so well done that it just seemed, well, logical. Wolverine had parts where the digitalization of his claws was so obvious that I thought an amateur crew had done it. If they made it look so real in the first three, why would this one be worse?

I guess James T. Kirk beat out Wolverine.
